Copyright & Takedown

Effective August 12, 2026

Our policy is remove-first. If content on this site is yours and you want it gone, we take it down. You do not need a lawyer or a formal legal notice to make that happen.

The fast path for hosts

If it is your listing or your photos, email hello@upstateselect.com with the listing link and what you want removed. We remove listings and photos on request within 24 hours, no questions asked.

Formal DMCA notices

If you prefer to send a formal notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), send it to hello@upstateselect.com and include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  3. The URL on this site where the material appears.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Our response timeline

We acknowledge takedown requests within one business day and remove or otherwise resolve the material within two business days. In practice, most removals happen the same day.

Counter-notices and misuse

If material you posted was removed because of a notice and you believe the removal was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. §512(g) to the same address. Be aware that §512(f) creates liability for knowingly and materially misrepresenting that content is infringing, so only send a notice for works you actually hold rights to.
