About this property

Morning coffee goes out to the back deck, where the yard opens wide toward the woods and birdsong drifts in from the trees. Inside, vaulted plank ceilings and hand-built woodwork give the cabin a warm, crafted glow.

Two bedrooms and two baths sleep four, with a loft upstairs and a shower there that feels like a small spa. A gas fireplace warms the living room on cold nights. The kitchen is stocked with oil, spices and everything for a long breakfast, and a washer and dryer keep the towels toasty.

Behind the house, a private trail winds through acres of woods and links up with the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, with wild raspberries ripening along the way in summer. Evenings belong to the grill and the fire pit, s'mores in hand as the sky goes dark.

Downtown Kingston is about ten minutes away, and the shops of Rosendale, the Big Cheese among them, are just down the road. Walk the rail trail out to the Rosendale Trestle, or drive on to New Paltz, Mohonk and Minnewaska State Park, then come home to woodsmoke and the hush of the trees.
