In Cementon, the sun rises over the Hudson and pours straight into bed through the walls of windows that wrap the bedroom above the water. At night the skylights fill with stars, and the river laps at the rocks below.

The home has one bedroom and one bath and sleeps two, with an open living space in crisp white and touches of blue, plus a kitchen stocked for real cooking. Off the bathroom, a private sauna and a steam shower turn a cold afternoon into a spa hour.

Outside, an upper and a lower deck hang over the river, and the hot tub waits under cover on the lower one. Take coffee out there and watch cargo ships slide past, herons working the shallows and an eagle overhead. Your own stairs lead down to the water, where kayaks are ready for a paddle, and evenings end with wine by the fire pit.

Saugerties, Woodstock, Kingston and Hudson are all an easy drive for dinner and browsing, and Hunter is about thirty minutes away for a day on the slopes. Come back in time for sunset at the gazebo over the river, where a private chef can serve five courses as the light fades.
