The kitchen holds real knives, spices, and baking supplies, so cooking in feels easy.

The backyard is big, shaded, and fully fenced, so a dog can run from morning until dusk while you eat lunch at the picnic table or grill dinner. After dark the fire pit is ready for s'mores, and the woods go quiet around you.

Woodstock and its restaurants are about a 10 to 15 minute drive, and downtown Saugerties and the Opus 40 sculpture park are close as well. Overlook Mountain and Huckleberry Point make fine morning hikes, and Kaaterskill Falls is an easy drive. Closer still, Mountain View Market, under five minutes away, has sandwiches, firewood, and Tuesday night curry.
