Outside, more than 2,000 square feet of deck and patio look out over fields and hills. Mornings start with coffee off the kitchen and birdsong, summer afternoons drift by in the pool, and evenings end with marshmallows over the brick fire pit. Kids vanish to the pirate ship playground and the arcade games in the shed.

Leeds is a few minutes down the road, with a bakery and a diner, and downtown Catskill is under ten. Hudson, with its antique shops and restaurants, is about fifteen minutes away, and Olana State Park is just as close. On a clear day, drive out toward Kaaterskill Falls and climb to Inspiration Point.
