Upstairs, a queen bedroom and a loft desk look out over the woods, and with two bedrooms and one bath, the cottage sleeps four.

Mornings belong to the deck, coffee in hand, while deer wander down to the creek across four private acres laced with old stone walls. Come evening, the gas grill handles dinner and the fire pit glows under a sky thick with stars.

Minnewaska State Park is about 20 minutes away, and Vernooy Kill Falls is closer still, about 15, with the Upper Cherrytown trail leading in. Afterward, Stone Ridge and Accord have dinner covered, and Arrowood Farms pours a cold beer before the drive back to the sound of moving water.
