Trailside House with Pool

About this property

Trailside House with Pool sits in New Paltz, close enough to the village to walk or bike but private enough to feel apart from it. The theme guests raise most is the host's responsiveness and hospitality, described across many reviews as quick to answer questions and attentive to details before and during a stay. The second most mentioned theme is direct access to the rail trail, which several guests used to walk or bike into town in minutes.

The pool comes up often, guests calling it a highlight for cooling off after a ride or hike and for lounging in the surrounding garden setting. A fire pit and backyard space add to evenings outside, and a few reviews mention bird watching and the koi pond as quiet pleasures of the grounds.

Inside, the kitchen draws repeated praise. Guests traveling with multiple cooks or large families call it spacious and fully equipped, with the Dacor range and dishwasher easing the work of feeding a group. The open layout between kitchen, dining, and living room, centered on a wood-burning fireplace, supports groups who want to gather rather than scatter.

Several reviews mention the house comfortably holding groups of eight or nine, with enough bedrooms and bathrooms that families with children, pets, and older relatives all found room. Guests traveling with dogs noted the fenced backyard specifically. Cleanliness comes up as a consistent note as well, with guests calling the home spotless on arrival.

For groups planning hikes, bike rides, or a few relaxed days near the village, this house pairs practical scale with a setting guests describe as calm and private.
