Secluded Villa

About this property

Early light spreads across Greenwood Lake and the mountains beyond, and you carry your coffee out to the upstairs balcony to watch it. The house is perched high on a wooded hill at the end of quiet private roads, with trees and bamboo all around.

Inside, the open main floor runs from a kitchen with a gas range and island stools to a dining area where four floor-to-ceiling glass doors fold open to the deck. A stone wall divides it from the living room, with its billiards table and a cabinet full of board games. Three bedrooms and three baths sleep up to 14, and the private upstairs suite looks straight out at the water.

Afternoons belong to the backyard and the heated pool, with the hot tub waiting for evening. The wrap-around deck has a roofed corner for lazy hours and a gas grill for dinner, and after dark the fire pit calls for s'mores. Kids find toys, sleds in winter, and an electric ride-on car with its own track under the deck.

For a day out, Indian Park Beach is open to you in summer, and a rented pontoon boat makes for an easy cruise around the lake. Warwick's main street, wineries, farms, and the trails of the nearby state forest are a short drive away, and when snow dusts the hills, Mt. Peter and Mountain Creek are ready for skiing.
