1830s Farmhouse

About this property

Morning coffee on the front porch rocker comes with a long view of green lawn, two small ponds and, often, deer drifting across the grass. Birdsong is the only sound.

Inside, the 1830s house keeps its creaky floors and wood-burning fireplace, while the kitchen and baths feel fresh and modern. The kitchen is the heart of the place, fully stocked and bright, with windows looking out over the grounds. Three bedrooms and two and a half baths sleep six, and cribs, a high chair and baby gates make small children easy to bring along.

Outside, fourteen acres unfold in every direction. There is a heated saltwater pool ringed by fairy lights, a private tennis court, a swing set and playhouse, red barns with a chicken coop, and trails into the woods. You can skim stones on the pond, grill on the back patio, then let the evening settle around a fire pit as the lawn goes dark.

The village of Montgomery is only minutes away, with Vic's for pizza and Iron Cafe for breakfast, and wineries lie within fifteen minutes. Local farms like Blooming Hill and Wrights Farm are close by, and Storm King Art Center and Beacon make an easy afternoon among sculpture, river light and small-town streets.
