The Grande

About this property

From the balcony at dusk, Greenwood Lake spreads out below you, boats drifting home across the water and the mountains darkening beyond. Over the July 4 weekend, fireworks burst right over the lake while you watch from your chair.

Inside, the main house opens into a vaulted room with a brick fireplace, an oversized couch, and a rustic kitchen whose reclaimed wood bar looks out to the lake. A guest suite with its own entrance, kitchen, and exposed beams completes four bedrooms and two baths for eight. Two families can share the days and keep their own nights.

In summer, a short walk brings you to the dock, with kayaks, a pedal boat, and floats beside a sandy beach. Evenings end at the fire pit by the water, marshmallows on sticks. On rainy afternoons, the converted garage offers a gym and game room with ping pong.

Restaurants and shops are a few minutes' drive, and downtown Warwick is about fifteen minutes away for an afternoon stroll. The Appalachian Trail is close for a morning hike, the Renaissance Faire is a ten-minute drive, and Legoland in Goshen makes an easy day out with the kids.
