Three bedrooms and two baths share a single level, and the living room, dining room and den open onto the woods through floor-to-ceiling windows. Deer wander along the creek a few feet away. The kitchen is stocked for real cooking, and shelves of books and board games fill the long evenings.

Outside, one side of the property belongs to the creek and its small waterfall, where a fire pit and stone patio catch the sound of the water after dark. On the other side, a fenced, heated saltwater pool opens in summer among tall trees and wildflowers, close to a patio with a grill and an outdoor table.

Woodstock's galleries, shops and restaurants are less than a mile away, an easy walk or a quick drive, with coffee from Bread Alone just down the street. Overlook Mountain is just up the road for a morning hike, Belleayre Mountain is a scenic drive of about 37 minutes, and in the warm months the local swimming holes are waiting.
