Ultra-Modern Home

About this property

The Ultra-Modern Home sits on nine wooded acres in Garrison, with the Appalachian Trail reachable on foot from the backyard. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a modern-rustic build give the place an open, architectural feel that guests describe as more striking in person than in photos. With five bedrooms and room to sleep 12, it is built for groups who want to spread out rather than share tight quarters.

The theme guests raise most is how responsive the host is, answering questions quickly before and during a stay and often greeting guests with a walkthrough at check-in. The heated pool is the second most mentioned feature, praised for being clean, well maintained, and warm even in cooler months. The kitchen comes up almost as often, guests call it fully equipped and well stocked, with enough counter space and gear to cook for a crowd.

The layout itself draws steady praise for how well it handles large groups, with multiple living areas, a long dining table, and a big couch that keeps people together without feeling cramped. The private hot tub is another favorite, tucked into the rocks and used across seasons, and several guests also mention the sauna as a highlight, especially in colder weather when the pool is closed.

Outside, a fire pit and multiple fireplaces (including one on a covered porch) give the property a reason to stay in after dark. Families note the trampoline and playground as good for kids, while several guests mention the seclusion and quiet of the wooded setting as central to why they'd return.
