River View Home

About this property

The sun drops behind the mountains across the Hudson, a freight train threads along the far bank, and you watch it all from the hot tub above the river. On a clear evening a bald eagle may cross the water before the light goes.

Inside, three floors face the river, and the view follows you from room to room. The house sleeps 14 across four bedrooms and three and a half baths, with a glassed sunroom for morning coffee, a stainless steel kitchen with labeled drawers and a table for ten, and an 85 inch screen for movie night.

The living room has a pool table, and downstairs the rec room keeps going after dark with ping pong, a piano, drums and a disco light. Outside, cast a line from the private dock, light the fire pit on the patio, or watch sailboats and barges slide by under the morning fog.

The New Hamburg Metro North station is a seven minute walk, with a direct line to Grand Central. Beacon and Dia are close for an afternoon of art, Storm King is within reach, and the Walkway Over the Hudson carries you high above the same river you fall asleep beside.
