The Upstate Getaway

About this property

Morning coffee goes out to the deck, where green fields fall away toward the mountains and deer step through the yard below. The house claims more than two acres in Bloomingburg, and the quiet feels much bigger than that.

Inside, the modern farmhouse opens into one bright room where the kitchen, with its six-burner gas range, flows into the living area and a gas fireplace. Four bedrooms and three baths sleep eight, with a king suite and its oversized walk-in shower upstairs and a queen suite on the lower level that walks straight out to the patio. Downstairs, a closet full of toys and games keeps small hands busy for hours.

Evenings belong to the gas grill and the long table under twinkling string lights. Below, Adirondack chairs face the open lawn, and cornhole and frisbee wait for whoever wants a game.

The Roosa Gap Fire Tower Hike is ten minutes away and the Mamakating O&W Rail Trail just eight. Sam's Point in Minnewaska State Park and the Basha Kill Wildlife Refuge are each twenty minutes out, close enough to be back for dinner as the valley goes dark.
